FLEET MEMBERSHIP FEE
Please pay your £20 Fleet Membership into the class account using your name as reference.

This money helps us pay for social and training events. It also helps with maintaining the Class Boat. It provides the free drinks on Big Monday for Fleet Members too! It helps with providing prizes like the mugs for our yearly prizegiving.
DUTYMAN
Dutyman is imminently going to be opened. Please make sure you book your TWO compulsory duties on Dutyman for this year. Those doing the Arripaye, don’t worry we will fill the slots on Dutyman for you.
Book your duties promptly, so you can arrange a convenient day for yourselves!! On the 1^st June 2026 anyone who has not booked their duties WILL be automatically allocated slots by Dutyman!! It may be that these duties are not convenient for you. I which case you will have to rearrange them for yourselves. Chris and I will not do it for you!! You have been warned!!! Book your duties as soon as possible, they go very quickly!!!
NEW RULES TALKS WITH JOHN DOERR
There will be a Racing Rules of Sailing talk, given by International Sailing Judge John Doerr on the Upper Deck of Parkstone YC on Thursday 5^th March 2026. Look out for the advertisement coming soon.
TROPHIES
Please can all ILCA Fleet Trophies that have been awarded, be brought back to the club bar or reception. We will then be able to get them engraved for the Prize Giving. Details of this year’s Prize Giving will be out soon.

CLUB RACING
It is worth noting that normal Club racing starts after Easter this year, on Saturday 11^th April. This means you should be able to bring your boats down in the week before the Club Easter Regatta which is on the 4^th and 5^th April.
EASTER MINI SERIES
We are organising an Easter Mini Series this year on Easter Monday 6th April. The start time will be 14:00. If anyone is available to be RO or ARO for the event please let us know, we will be very grateful for your help.
THE SALCOMBE GIN ILCA MASTERS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The Salcombe Gin ILCA Masters National Championships incorporating the EurILCA Master Series is being held this year at Parkstone Yacht Club between 3^rd and 5^th July 2026.
You will need to be an ILCA UK Class Association Member to enter, therefore if you wish to sail in this event, it is worth sorting this out before you try to enter, as it will make your lives easier. Entry will be via the ILCA UK Website. The entry site will be available nearer the event date and we will let you know as soon as it is open.
We will need volunteers on the day before the event, mainly to help marshal the arriving boats. There could be 120 boats, so it will be a tight squeeze getting them into the yard. It would be great if some of you could be around to welcome these competitors and maybe even encourage them into the bar for a drink.
This will be a fantastic event with some amazing free draw prizes!! Including a Wildwind Holiday, lots of Salcombe Gin and so much more!!!!!! Chris won the Wildwind Holiday last year so it’s more than possible to win.
BIG MONDAY
This year Big Monday is on the 13^th July 2026, hopefully we can entice you out with cake and free beer to break the record yet again this year. We have 66 to beat. If you have an ILCA drag it to the club and help us break the record again! We will invite ILCA sailors from Poole and East Dorset again this year to hopefully boost the numbers.
SUPER SATURDAY
We are organising a super big club race on Saturday 1^st August, where we hope to get the most Lasers/ILCA’s, from the club, on the water ever, for a Saturday afternoon club race! It was very successful last year when we celebrated our 50th Anniversary, so we are trying again this year and we have a 48-boat total to beat from last year!!! Maybe we can manage to get 50 boats on the start line this year. It is timed to be just before Youth Week so if you know any young ILCA sailors they will be more than welcome, along with anyone else who is a club member and can get their hands on an ILCA.
Make Super Saturday and Big Monday dates for your diaries, so we can have some big club fleet turnouts this year!
