Training


The courses are scheduled to fit in with the busy schedule of Club racing and events, so are generally run between Christmas and Easter each year. Courses can be at other times, subject to avialability of Club facilites and instructors.

POWERBOAT TRAINING

The Club runs RYA Powerboat Training courses and can also provide refresher training for those who have Powerboat Level 2 or Safety Boat Qualifications but would like to refresh their skills before acting as a safety boat driver.

Visitor Training

Any visitors who have been invited to join fleet training sessions must complete forms from the sailing office and pay the relevant fees at Reception

Other RYA Training

Other RYA training courses available include:

  • RYA First Aid - an essential complement to many RYA qualifications as well as being useful for others 

  • RYA VHF Radio - RYA SRC courses and VHF to SRC upgrade courses

  • RYA Club Race Management - Race Officer and Mark Laying courses
